Notes on Gig Harbor
A working harbor with a town wrapped around it. Downtown runs along the water on Harborview Drive; the newer shopping and most of the subdivisions sit up the hill.

Most people who move here want two things at once: a small town they can walk on a Saturday, and an easy run to Tacoma or the base during the week. Gig Harbor gives you both, as long as the house is on the right side of the right hill.
Downtown is the harbor itself: the net sheds, the public dock, coffee and a museum within a short walk. Up the hill you have the grocery stores, the hospital and most of the newer neighborhoods. Further west the lots get bigger and the roads get quieter.
On a tour day we usually start with coffee on the water so you can feel the pace, then drive the neighborhoods that fit your list and your budget.
