Notes on Ruston
A very small town at the tip of Tacoma, between Point Defiance Park and the Ruston Way waterfront.
Ruston is tiny, and that is the appeal: a walkable square mile with the park on one side and the waterfront path on the other.
You will find older single-family homes on the hill and newer condos and townhomes near the water. For the newer ones I read the HOA documents with you before you commit, because the rules and the fees matter as much as the floor plan.
It is the last stop on most of my tour days. Sunset at Point Defiance is a good way to end a long Saturday.
